Its not nearly as popular as it used to be in my home town, everyone must be moving on. Its really the yik yak-using community that made this app work, without that its simply boring.

They really do try to help you! Great people overall!

After I deleted apps to make docs for some pics. I re-downloaded the app and now it crashes immediately after opening it

They try to get all your info like phone location and track everything you do. I cant even use it

The community is plagued by rampant censorship, false flags, and unchecked reporting.

The app doesnt work anymore.

Its a good app - the handles thing is an absolute pain though. Wish theyd get rid of it. It would be 4 stars without handles.

Pleaaaaaase pleaaaaaase pleaaaaaase make it so I can change my herd and handle. The inability to change my herd/handle us making yak much less fun to navigate. Srsly.

Please at a like, dislike or Happy and sad face. I keep getting "warnings" about post that are following all the guidelines but people disagree with so they are getting negative vote. Wether it political opinion, view on school, place to shop etc.

Through continuous updates and constant progress Yak has managed to remain popular despite the turbulent nature of social apps. The newest chat feature is a welcome addition which adds a whole new dimension to the experience

Apparently I live too close to a high school so I cant use YikYak unless I go out of town.

I really like it but it is only worth getting if u are a college student or live near a population center. Its totally dead in my home town of 6k :/

I took this app off my phone today. It used to be fun for short anonymous conversations, and was somewhat effectively self policed. Now we have handles, and chat. Oh, dont forget about the tiny text window. Im just done.

Terrible people dwell in this app. Use with caution.

This app has been somewhat amusing, but just sent me entirely unnecessary spam notification. I have a one strike policy for that kind of thing. So it gets a one star review and a one-way trip to the recycle bin. Dont abuse notifications, guys.

Bug where i cant see the rest of my comment if it surpasses that initial block of space; its not expanding to accommodate more than that. Also not fun to keep turning off handle before every yak/comment; should be an option where we can completely shut off/on handles and not have to worry about it every post or comment.

I find myself using this more than snapchat or other competing apps, not because it is a replacement of such apps in any way, but the anonymity provided removes any sort of social pressure and you can just be you. This also makes it quite versatile, making it a part time dating, part time counseling, part time campus updates but a full time entertainment app

I love yik yak and Im an avid user, but would like to see a few changes. It would be great to be able to adjust your notification settings more specifically than just on/off, and I wish that handles werent on default. Also, it would be awesome if posters/commenters could still see a yak in their notifs after it has been voted off, as sometimes posters cant read all the comments before that happens or a commenter cant see how many likes their comment got

The addition of handles and chat feature is turning Yik Yak into Tinder and Reddit. Absolutely horrible. This new update also brought about some glitches that have made using the app incredibly annoying. For example, the icons sometimes show up wrong in comments. Doesnt show badge icons /number of replies anymore. App refreshes constantly.
