Really like the app because of the conversation. Only real problem is the mods are very liberal and will ban you over the smallest of things

Sometimes doesnt load but thats rare

This app is fun to use on your college campus. Always funny things to posts and see. Would recommend if a college student. Boring at home.

Its cool, I dont have any issues with it crashing or anything. Newer features like the handle are nice.

This is supposed to be an anonymous app for college students. All the handles and censoring has killed the fun.

I absolutely hate the handles. I didnt mind when there was a button where you could turn your handle off but every other update that keeps getting taken away and then re added. Just leave it.

The app would not let me post s comment without making a handle, which I had avoided. After I created one I received an error whenever I tried to post without the handle, then the Hide Handle switch flips back on, so unless youre paying attention you can accidentally post with your handle. I liked the anonymity of YikYak, and the fact that the only thing that brought us together was our location. I like that you have a choice to post without the handle, but when the service returns an error anytime you attempt to post without a handle it defeats the purpose. I did post with the handle, so I know that Im not receiving an error on every post.

After updating, I havent been able to see any yaks. Not a single one. Not even in my history. Its been 5 days now

Sometimes they delete my yaks or my yaks wouldnt load on the main page. But best in college not much anywhere else

Love the app. Been using it for a little over a year now and it has aided in the making of new friends. Would be cool if the distance was just a little bit wider. Overall, love the app and will used or a while to come.

This app is only for whiny college kids who feel like exams should be extinct. PostYo app is so much better. Bye whack yak!

If you can deal with trolls your fine its pretty cool but it can get really insensitive on here Im cool with it but if youre one to get offended easily dont do it. That aside its a cool way to meet others and a cool app overall I reccomend it

The moderation on this app is inexcusable. You can be banned anything with no indication of why you were banned. You can be banned because a moderator doesnt like your football team, you can be banned because the mod is hyper liberal and just banning everyone they disagree with, you can be banned because the moderator ran out of Cocoa Puffs and you were the first yak they saw. Its a waste of time to try to have a conversation on an app where the moderators have total control and grossly abuse it. People in my area report everything they disagree with, from religion to the entire spectrum of political views, and the mods never filter out the unwarranted reports. I dont mind the handles, or the decreasing anonymity. But if someone makes an improper joke and I say "Lol" then get banned for being racist thats just way too far. In an app where you have to promise that youre 17+ you should be allowed to say things that are 17+. The only times anyone should ever be banned are when they make threats or propose something illegal. Some changes that absolutely need to be made: (1) The ability to see which yak it is that got you banned. (2) A shadowban system where when you are banned you can still view the feeds but cannot post. (3) Moderators all need to be fired and they should hire new people with a backbone who will actually be objective.

It really depends on your areas community. SF was pretty cool, but Seattle comprises of immature kids

Updated app and it keeps crashing! No yaks will load and the message "the data could not be read because it isnt in the right format" keeps popping up! Please fix this issue ASAP

Could be great but seriously need some kind of flagging/reporting system. Caused huge amounts of cyberbullying among my students because they knew they couldnt be tracked. Eventually the police even got involved, and the parties responsible were fined with harassment and bullying. If this had some kind of feature so that the comments couldve just been taken down, then a lot of trouble couldve been avoided.

Love this app but Ive been so reluctant to use it! I dont know if its my old phone (iPhone 4) or its the update, but it takes me about 3 tries of opening the app and waiting 5-10 minutes of loading for it to actually work and not crash on me. Please fix this compatibility with the old iOS
