It wont open in the latest version

New update keeps making my app crash? Also on a side note, the whole handles and chatting and whatnot is really ruining the basis for yik yak which was that its supposed to be completely anonymous so you guys have really strayed away from what made your app great to start with

I had this app on my old phone and now Im trying to download it but every time I tap on it it crashes and goes back to the home screen

I really like using this app. Im on it every day. But with the new update, I cant see what Im typing past the first line! The text box refuses to expand, so I end up posting smaller comments so I can see what Im writing instead of one large comment and its annoying for me and anyone who reads it. Please fix this!!

What a joke! How did this even get past app review? Im using a fully updated iPhone 6s+.

Its not even opening. It crashes when I go to open it.

Im very disappointed in you, YikYak people. How did you miss the opportunity of call it ChitChat?

Handles completely defeat the purpose of Yik Yak. Now I have to worry someone is going to recognize me from a previous Yak. And why are handles turned on by default?

After newest update, app will not open. It crashes on launch. iPhone 6s Plus, newest version of iOS 9.

It is always a shame when a great app continually adds new features that dont actually enhance the user experience. This app started out great, and turned into another pile of yak excrement. Terrible shame. I miss the old yik yak.

Stop sending useless notifications like "People are talking about ____ come join them!"

A few bugs with thus update but overall Im digging the chat feature and the optional handles! Maybe give us a switch so we can decide whether our default post setting uses the handle or not? Also, Im having a problem where sometimes I can see all of the newest posts, but most of the time I can only see mine and a few others. Whats going on?

This is just flat out trash. I try to use this to get the word out on some things but if you get a -5 rating on your post its gone. So bc theres trolls out there my post is deleted? Uninstalled.

Chat was pretty unnecessary. Just another attempt at competing with snapchat and whatsapp and all the other chat apps. Anonymous posts and comments were more than enough. Handles are an alright addition but Yik Yak REALLY REALLY REALLY needs to set handles in the default off position. Or at the very least leave the handles in the last position you set them. On or off. This app used to be really good. Now it just keeps trying to be competitive and its just losing the unique touch it used to have.

Can you guys have voice over read the post again I cant read anything on there anymore since the update

So, Ive had Yik Yak for almost a year now. Its pretty much the only Social Network that I use, but I dont like the new update. The handles are fine, but it would be great if they werent on automatically, the new feature, the "chat" thing, I think is useless. Also, when I reply to a comment, the text box thingy doesnt expand. Seriously, how am I supposed to know what Ive been typing? Come on, Yik Yak, the point is to be anonymous.

Annoying that every time I open the app it closes

I love the handles because you can start to gain popularity from it but at the same time the option of turning off your handle still gives anonymity in case you dont want to be known. Also the chat thing I was suggesting a while back is perfect because it was always a struggle to communicate one on one with a certain person from the app "Do you have kik? Do you have a snap?". Now the only thing missing is that you cant unfollow a post with out reporting the post or muting the people but I hear thats in the works!
